Nearly 90% of the games you play (PC or Android) are made using game engines (the most popular is Unity) which make the entire process of making a game uncountable times easier because most of the features that make a game (movement, camera, textures, animations, etc) are already programmed by experts so you don't have to know how to write code to make a very good visual game and upload it anywhere. Problems? This way of creating games makes them feel the same. I miss the cool and kinda short 2D games that I used to play in my Game Boy or in my PS1. Simple, great story and way more fun to play that most of the games nowadays. That's why Versus Duck is created using just Java, witch makes the entire process a huge work of thinking and coding that gives the game a confortable personal vibe and approaches us to a simple game playability like we had 20 years ago.
